T.H.E TRIO combines Celtic harp music with jazz and experimental backing for an unforgettable, high-energy fusion. All three are seasoned professional musicians, each bringing their own unique background and musical tastes into the mix. Harriet Earis has performed solo in the 02 Millennium Dome to 25,000 people and in the Royal Albert Hall as part of the "Young Voices" tour in 2007. She tours worldwide which to date has included 13 tours of the US, 5 tours of Germany, 2 tours of France and concerts in Holland, Belgium and Ireland. She won the Open Stage Award at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow in Jan 2007 chosen from among 82 different acts competing for the title and is one of a handful of young musicians from Wales to win a place on the prestigious nationwide "Live Music Now" scheme. Her aim is to show a new approach to harp-playing - using the Celtic harp as a strong, lively melody instrument.

Sam Christie is renowned as an incredibly sensitive and expressive drummer with a wealth of jazz experience, recently touring with free improviser Maggie Nicols as part of the band "Dynamite Dream". He also presents the weekly Sunday night jazz show on Radio Ceredigion and has just produced a programme for Radio Wales on "Improvisation". He has a keen interest in experimental music and electronica. He is currently touring with Welsh singer Lowri Evans and has performed at jazz festivals across Spain and France.

Swansea-born Andy Coughlan is one of the busiest bassists in Wales, with his own studio "Bridgerow Studios" where T.H.E. TRIO album "From the Crooked Tree" was created. Andy started off as a London session musician where he was Gary Numan's bass player, performing on Top of the Pops in the 80s. He played bass on the soundtrack to "A Fish Called Wanda" and is bass player with jazz band "The Amigos" as well as other acts as diverse as Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Fernhill, Martyn Joseph, Phil James, Mal Pope, Al Lewis and Katrina and the Waves. He is currently touring with Cerys Matthews and Shakin' Stevens with whom he performed at Glastonbury Festival 2008. Together T.H.E TRIO have created a totally unique blend that is innovative, fun and foot-tapping. Their first CD 'From the Crooked Tree' came out in August 2007. In August 2008 they represented Wales in the Festival Inter-Celtique in Lorient, France.

Mae'r T.H.E TRIO yn cyfuno cerddoriaeth y delyn Geltaidd â jazz ac isalawon arbrofol i greu undeb cofiadwy ac egnïol. Mae'r tri yn gerddorion broffesiynol a profiadol, â phob un yn dod a'u cefndiroedd unigol a blasau cerddorol i'r cymysgedd.

Mae Harriet Earis wedi perfformio'n unawdol yn yr 02 Millenium Dome i 25,000 o bobl, ac yn yr Albert Hall fel rhan o'r taith 'Young Voices' yn 2007. Mae hi'n teithio'n fydol, sydd wedi cynnwys 13 taith o'r Unol Daleithiau, 5 i'r Almaen, 2 i Ffrainc a cyngherddi yn yr Iseldiroedd, Gwlad Belg ac Iwerddon. Ennillodd hi'r gwobr Open Stage yn yr wyl Celtic Connections yn Glasgow mis Ionawr 2007, wedi'i dewis o 82 act gwahanol yn cystadlu am y teitl, ac mae'n un o dyrnaid o gerddorion ifainc Cymraeg i ennill lle ar gynllun cenedlaethol 'Live Music Now'. Ei amcan yw i ddangos dynesiad newydd i chwarae'r delyn ' yn defnyddio'r telyn Geltaidd fel offeryn cryf a bywiog i arwain alawon.

Mae Sam Christie yn adnabyddus fel drymiwr mynegol a synhwyrus â gwledd o brofiad jazz, yn ddiweddar wedi teithio gyda cerddor rhydd Maggie Nicols fel rhan o'r band 'Dynamite Dream'. Mae hefyd yn cyflwyno sioe jazz wythnosol ar Radio Ceredigion ac wedi newydd cynhyrchu rhaglen i Radio Cymru ar waith byrfyfyr. Mae ganddo ddiddordeb cryf mewn cerddoriaeth arbrofol ac electronic. Dechreuodd Andy fel cerddor sesiwn yn Llundain, lle chwaraeodd y gitar bâs ar gyfer Gary Numan, yn perfformio ar Top Of The Pops yn yr 80au. Chwaraeodd hefyd y gitar bâs ar drac sain 'A Fish Called Wanda' ac fel rhan o fand jazz 'The Amigos', yngh'd ag actiau mor eang â Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Fernhill, Martyn Joseph, Phil James, Mal Pope, Al Lewis a Katrina and the Waves. Gyda'u gilydd, mae'r T.H.E. TRIO wedi creu cyfuniad o gerddoriaeth hollol unigryw, hwyl a chymhellgar. Cafodd eu CD cyntaf, 'From the Crooked Tree', ei ryddhau yn mis Awst 2007. Yn Awst 2008 cynrhychiolodd y band eu gwlad yn yr wyl Inter-Celtique yn Lorient, Ffrainc.
